After an absence of three years the BPA Pig of Year Final returned to the Great Yorkshire Show.
Judge Brian Card from Wiltshire said "Its been a long wait for the return of this flagship competition but the quality of pigs on display did not disappoint"
The Winner of Pig of the Year was Hazeway Havnbjerg 3 (Duroc) bred by Hayley Loveless and reserve was Portbredy King David 6226 (Large White) bred by Steve Loveless
The Modern Male Pig of the Year was Portbredy King David 6226 (Large White) bred by Steve Loveless and reserve Hazeway Thunder (Duroc) bred by Hayley Loveless.
The Modern Female Pig of the Year was Hazeway Havnbjerg 3 (Duroc) bred by Hayley Loveless and reserve Portbredy Lassie 6239 (Large White) bred by Steve Loveless.
The Traditional Male Pig of the Year was Tedfold General 120a (Saddleback) bred by Dr M and Dr O Giles and reserve Spring Namatjira 3 (Berkshire) bred by C & R Holtom.
The Traditional Female Pig of the Year was Pinehurst Alma Rose 16 (Middle White) bred by Brian Merry and reserve Breckles Grandeur 24 (Large Black) bred by Mr P Churchyard.
