New Late Litter Fine System

📢 Announcement: Updated, Simplified Fine System for Litter Notifications

Please be advised that a revised fine system for litter notifications will come into effect on 1st January 2026. All litters notified on or after this date will be subject to the updated structure outlined below.

Late Notification Fines (Based on Piglet Age)

• Piglets aged 10–25 weeks: £5 per litter
• Piglets aged 26–52 weeks: £15 per litter

For piglets aged 26–52 weeks, cases must be referred to the relevant breed representative, who must be satisfied that the piglets are correctly identified. Marking records may be requested for verification.

Notifications Over 52 Weeks of Age

• A DNA test is required to confirm the identity of the pigs
• DNA testing must be carried out by a BPA-approved genetic company
• Results must be approved by both the breed representative and the Conservation Committee
• The associated fee will cover the cost of DNA testing
