Survey 2024

This year's survey has been launched. Please log into pedigree services and confirm what pigs you still have in your herd. It is vital that we complete the survey to ensure we can identify breeds and bloodlines at risk. This data also goes through to DEFRA for the Breeds At Risk Register and therefore it is vital this information is accurate.

Remember that the survey is also how we know what subs to charge in January so please check that you have killed off any sows you no longer have so that you are charged the correct subscription.

We have included a guide to complete the survey. The survey does not look much different to previous years, but you do need to be aware that it shows both birth notified and registered pigs. For the purposes of the survey, it is the registered pigs we need you to check and submit. You need to type 'reg' into the filter box to bring up just registered pigs.

It is useful to kill off birth notified pigs if they have been sent for slaughter/ taken to market to keep a more accurate picture of what animals' breeders have and therefore is you have time whilst doing the survey it is a good opportunity to tidy this up.

Please remember that our surveyors are volunteers giving up their time for free to help with the project. You may have set your privacy options on the website, but this work is covered by our GDPR policy, and our surveyors are covered by confidentiality agreements, so they have access to all members contact details for the purpose of the survey.
