Setting up a Pork Business

Setting up a Pork Business

Well-known local food champion Tim McEntire along with our new board member Ian Jones will be sharing experiences of setting and running successful food businesses.

Tim McEntire trained as a chef at London’s Savoy Hotel and opened his first restaurant in 1979 at the tender age of 22. He went on to have his own restaurants, Partners 23 in North Cheam and then Partners in West Street, Dorking. In 2012 he became director of Food Float, which sells produce sourced from 23 local producers from a stall on Dorking High Street every Friday and Saturday and via a home delivery service.

He recently retired from active management of the business but remains on the board. He now farms pigs and sheep in the Surrey Hills.

The end of the meeting will have an update on Vet Attestations.
